Appointments range from 1-4 hours depending on the complexity, size, and placement of your tattoo.
Most of our Subtle tattoos (smaller, simple) will take about 1-2 hours while Statement tattoos (larger, more shading, and intricate designs) can take up to 4 hours. These time estimates include your artist consultation and your aftercare experience.
Made-to-Fade tattoos are administered with a tattoo machine, just like a permanent tattoo. So, yes, they can hurt!
However, the pain may be different than you think. People often describe the sensation as a vibration ranging from a light scratch (fleshy areas) to a sharper buzz (in more bony regions). Some people even like the feeling!
Here are some quick tips to get through the (temporary) pain:
1) Make sure to eat a hearty meal before your appointment.
2) Don’t come intoxicated. It’s against our policy and makes it hurt more!
3) Stay hydrated (we’ve got drinks and snacks at the studio) and take deep breaths throughout the tattooing process.
4) Ask your artist to take breaks to help ease the sensation.
5) And remember—the pain isn’t forever (just like our tattoos)!
All Ephemeral tattoos are currently done in black ink since it’s the most popular color, is preferred by most tattoo artists, and looks great with fine line work.
You must be 18+ to get an Ephemeral tattoo, regardless of parental consent.
